Village festivals

The summer period is interspersed with numerous saint’s day festivals, held in every town and village. Organized originally to celebrate a patron saint or a break in the agricultural calendar, today these festivals are a time for celebrating tradition, authenticity and joie de vivre.

The festivities usually include a large communal meal, a musical evening (for young and old), a funfair, and various forms of entertainment throughout the weekend.
